3. Lost in eyes

He watched her disappear down the corridor.

"Interesting... Pehli ladki mili hai jo mujhse bilkul nahi darti."

A smirk appeared on his lips.

"Well... I hate you, Ms. Drama Queen." he muttered with an annoyed expression.

---

On the Other Side...

It was the zero period. Some students were chatting inside the classroom while others were playing outside in groups.

Myra was deeply engrossed in reading her favorite novel. A soft giggle escaped her lips as she read one of the romantic scenes. Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind. Her smile faded, and she slowly closed the book.

"Yaar... kaash ye fictional characters sach mein exist karte. Anaya sahi hi kehti hai... ye sab real life mein nahi hota. Shayad mere liye koi bana hi nahi hai..."

She closed her eyes and imagined the male lead of her novel.

Just then, someone tapped on her desk.

She opened her eyes in frustration and looked up.

Standing in front of her was a boy with mesmerizing brown eyes. He looked incredibly handsome and was saying something to her, but instead of listening to his words, she got lost in his face.

The boy was none other than Shaurya.

"Excuse me... Is this Class 12-A?" he asked once again.

When she didn't respond, he frowned.

"Kahin ye behri toh nahi hai..." he muttered under his breath.

Meanwhile, Myra was lost in her own little world.

Why does his voice sound so... different?

She couldn't take her eyes off his charming face until she suddenly realized he had asked her something.

"Umm... woh... kya keh rahe the aap?" she asked awkwardly.

"IS THIS CLASS 12-A?" Shaurya repeated, this time a little louder.

Myra frowned.

"Arre! Why are you shouting? Dheere bhi toh bol sakte ho. Mere kaan theek hain. Aur tumne bahar board nahi dekha kya?" she replied with an attitude.

Shaurya folded his arms.

"Madam, bahar koi board hi nahi laga hai. Isiliye pooch raha tha. Pata nahi kaisi battameezon ki class hai ye..." he said, giving her an annoyed look.

Myra raised an eyebrow.

"Haan, ye 12-A hi hai. Waise aapko kis class mein jaana hai?"

Shaurya scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.

"Woh... mujhe bhi 12-A mein hi aana hai..."

Myra couldn't help but smile.

"Achha! Toh swagat hai aapka battameezon ki class mein. Aaj se aap bhi officially ek battameez hue."

She teased him with a playful smile.

Without saying another word, Shaurya walked to the last bench and sat down.

Just then, Anaya entered the classroom and sat beside Myra.

Still irritated, she threw her bag on the desk.

"What does he think of himself? Kahin ka PM hai kya!" she complained, resting her forehead on her hand.

Myra glanced towards Shaurya.

"Haan yaar... maana ki dikhne mein handsome hai, par iska matlab ye thodi na hai ki battameezi kare."

Anaya looked confused.

"Ek minute... tu kiski baat kar rahi hai?"

"Arre us ladke ki... woh dekh, last bench pe baitha hai. Aate hi keh raha tha ki ye battameezon ki class hai."

Myra pouted while complaining.

"Chhod na yaar... aaj ka din hi kharab chal raha hai."

At that very moment, Anay entered the classroom.

His eyes instantly landed on Anaya sitting on the first bench.

He sighed dramatically.

"Bas! Ab is ladki ko roz tolerate karna padega. Hey Bhagwan... koi aur section nahi mila tha kya?" he thought while looking at the ceiling.

Anaya noticed him too.

She nudged Myra.

"Dekh! Ye wahi ladka hai. Ye hamari class mein kya kar raha hai? Hey Bhagwan... isse bhi bura kuch hona baaki hai kya aaj mere saath?" she muttered while massaging her forehead.

Just then, the class teacher entered.

"Good Morning, Ma'am!" the students greeted in unison.

The teacher smiled and immediately started teaching Chapter 1 of Accounts.

Some students listened attentively, while others-especially Anay and Shaurya-kept yawning.

For them, Accounts was the most boring subject ever.

Anay leaned towards Shaurya and whispered,

"Yaar... isse achha toh bunk hi maar lete. Faltu mein class mein aa gaye."

Shaurya didn't even look at him.

"Tu chup kar. Dekh... woh tadka hume hi ghur rahi hai." he whispered while pretending to read his book.

Finally, the bell rang.

Everyone let out a long sigh of relief as if they had just been released from jail.

The teacher looked at Anaya.

"Anaya, come to the staff room with me. I want to talk to you about something." she said in a firm tone.

"Yes, Ma'am."

Anaya nodded and quietly followed her, while the rest of the class curiously watched her leave.

Anay glanced at Anaya as she walked out of the classroom. A mischievous smile slowly crept onto his lips.

"Ms. Rule book... main apna badla lekar hi rahunga." he muttered to himself, his eyes fixed on her disappearing figure.

He stood up from his seat and started walking toward the door.

Shaurya looked at him suspiciously.

"Oye, kahan jaa raha hai?" he asked.

Anay turned back with a mischievous grin.

"Aaya abhi... tu yahin baith." he said before winking at him and walking towards teachers to ask an permission

Shaurya narrowed his eyes.

"Ye pakka kuch na kuch kand karne wala hai..." he murmured, shaking his head as he watched Anay leave.
