"Arrey wah! Great idea!"
Kaira suddenly stood up in excitement.
Riyan, who was shocked by her sudden reaction, looked at her in confusion.
"Toh tum mujhse gussa nahi ho ki maine tumhe suggestion diya?"
Kaira laughed.
"Arrey re! Suggestion pe bhi koi gussa hota hai kya? Aur itni saari tension mein toh main apna naam dena hi bhool gayi thi. Tumne achha yaad dila diya. Abhi jaake apna naam deti hoon. Mast sa dance karungi... sab dekhte reh jayenge. Woh bhi item song pe... yeeeeee!"
She spoke excitedly.
After everything that had happened, she finally had an idea.
She would surprise Kartik with her dance performance.
Maybe...
Just maybe...
It would lighten his mood and help them sort out their fight.
Riyan smiled while looking at her.
"Are you sure?"
"Definitely yaar! Main abhi aayi mam ko apna naam deke."
She replied before running towards the teachers.
Watching her leave, Riyan smiled softly.
"I know tumhe dance kitna pasand hai... aur ye sab maine sirf tumhara mood theek karne ke liye hi kiya tha."
He whispered to himself.

### Later that evening...
Anaya was getting ready for her tuition class.
She wore a short, trendy pink kurti paired with loose blue baggy jeans. Silver jhumkas dangled from her ears, making a soft chan-chan sound whenever she moved. A tiny black bindi completed her look, while a blue sling bag rested on her shoulder.

(Ignore the bag please)
She looked effortlessly beautiful.
The entire outfit perfectly reflected her soft-girl era.
"Mumma, main jaa rahi hoon! Meri tuition ka time ho raha hai."
She called out while wearing her Punjabi juttis.
Her mother smiled.
"Haan beta, jao. Aur dhyaan se jaana."
"Okay!"
Anaya smiled before stepping outside.
She sat on her scooty, started it, and rode away.
---
### On the other side...
Anay had just reached the garage to get his bike serviced.
His eyes were fixed on his beloved bike.
"Uncle ji, bilkul mast service karna meri bike ki."
He said lovingly.
The mechanic chuckled.
"Haan haan beta, chinta mat karo."
After handing over his bike, Anay started walking towards the main road.
He was enjoying the pleasant evening breeze when suddenly his eyes fell on a girl standing beside a scooty.
She looked frustrated.
Without thinking much, he turned his bike towards her.
"Kya hua?"
Only her back was visible to him.
Without turning around, she replied,
"Kuch nahi yaar. Ye scooty pata nahi kyun band ho gayi hai. Mujhe tuition ke liye late ho raha hai, aur isko bhi abhi hi kharab hona tha..."
She spoke while turning around.
The moment their eyes met...
Both of them froze.
For a few seconds, neither of them spoke.
Anay couldn't take his eyes off her.
It was the first time he had seen Anaya wearing a kurti.
A soft pink fitted kurti...
Loose blue jeans...
Silver jhumkas gently brushing against her neck...
The tiny black bindi on her forehead...
Everything about her looked breathtaking.
The sweet chan-chan of her earrings echoed every time the breeze touched them.
For the first time...
He found himself completely speechless.
His eyes refused to leave her face.
She looked...
Beautiful.
No.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Anaya snapped her fingers in front of his face.
"O hello! Bakbak... kahan kho gaye? Waise toh itna bolte ho, ab chup kyun ho gaye? Help kar do na... please."
Anay blinked and came back to reality.
"Huh? Kya bola tumne? Help kar do? Shayad maine suna nahi... dubara bolna."
He replied with a teasing smile.
Anaya rolled her eyes.
"Haan haan baba! Yehi bol rahi hoon. Please help kar do. Mujhe bahut late ho raha hai. Aaj mera test bhi hai."
Anay crossed his arms dramatically.
"Achha... kar dunga. Lekin pehle ek cheez bolni padegi."
"Haan bolo. Kya bolna hai?"
He grinned proudly.
"Bolo... 'Anay kitna achha ladka hai. He is the best.''
Anaya stared at him in disbelief.
"Huh! Jao yahan se. Main jhooth nahi bolti."
Anay shrugged.
"Theek hai. Phir mujhe kya? Is road pe tumhari help karne wala bhi koi nahi aayega. Ho jao late."
He pretended to leave.
Anaya quickly stopped him.
"Achha achha! Theek hai. Bolti hoon. Pehle scooty toh theek karo."
He shook his head.
"Na na na... main tumhe achhe se jaanta hoon. Pehle bolo."
She muttered under her breath,
"Kya ajeeb janwar hai..."
Anay immediately looked at her suspiciously.
"Kya tumne abhi kuch bola?"
Anaya instantly changed her expression.
"Nahi toh... maine toh bas ye bola..."
She took a deep breath dramatically.
"Anay kitna achha ladka hai... He is the best."
She said loudly with visible irritation.
Anay couldn't stop himself from smiling.
He looked like someone who had just won a war.
"Ab has liya ho toh meri scooty bhi theek kar do."
She folded her arms impatiently.
Without saying anything, Anay started checking the scooty.
Within a few minutes...
The engine started.
Anaya's eyes widened.
"Wow! Tumhe ye bhi aata hai?"
He proudly dusted his hands.
"Haan haan. Mujhe sab aata hai. Abhi tum mujhe jaanti hi kahan ho."
She looked away.
"Janna bhi kise hai..."
she murmured.
"Kya bola?"
Anay raised an eyebrow.
Anaya smiled innocently.
"Maine bola... tumne kaha sab kuch aata hai. Par padhai chhodkar bolna bhool gaye."
Anay frowned.
"Tumhe mujhse kya dikkat hai?"
Anaya couldn't stop herself from teasing him.
"Ab samajh aaya tumhe sab kyun aata hai. Padhai-likhai toh karni hi nahi hai. Aage jaake apne naam ka garage hi khologe na?"
She folded her arms dramatically.
"Anay Garage.' Aur neeche ek quote bhi likhwa dena-'Hamare yahan har tarah ki gaadi sahi ki jaati hai.'
The moment she finished...
She burst into laughter.
Anay was irritated.
Very irritated.
But the moment he saw her laughing so freely...
His anger melted away.
Instead...
He simply kept looking at her.
"Waise toh ye Rulebook hasti bahut kam hai... par haste hue kitni achhi lagti hai."
He unknowingly smiled to himself.
Then he cleared his throat.
"Waise tumhe late nahi ho raha? Mujhse ladne baithi ho. Abhi toh bade 'please, please' kar rahi thi."
Realization hit Anaya instantly.
"Oh no!"
She hurriedly sat on her scooty, started it, and looked back at him with a smile.
"Goodbye, Mr. Bakbak... and thank you so much!"
Before Anay could reply...
She sped away.
He stood there, watching her disappear into the distance.
A smile unknowingly appeared on his face.
He didn't even try to hide it this time.
---
Later that night...
Anay was just about to start playing video games when a sudden realization hit him.
Anaya's English work!
His eyes widened.
"Oh no..."
Without wasting another second, he rushed towards his study table, took out her notebook, and sat down to complete her work.
The clock on the wall showed 12:00 a.m.
Just as he uncapped his pen, there was a knock on the door.
Knock... Knock...
"Come in."
The door opened, and Riyan walked inside.
The moment he saw Anay sitting at his study table with books and notebooks spread everywhere, he froze in shock.
" Tu itni raat ko padhai kar raha hai? Aur phone karke mujhe kyun bulaya?"
he asked, completely confused.
Anay looked at him with an innocent smile.
" Woh... bhai... mujhe aapki help chahiye."
Riyan raised an eyebrow.
"Haan bol, kya hua? Par pehle ye toh bata... tu kabse padhne laga? Time toh dekh... raat ke 12 baj rahe hain."
he asked calmly.
Anay scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Kuch nahi bhai... woh hua na ki... mujhe Anaya ka kaam complete karna hai."
For a second...
Riyan simply stared at him.
And then...
He burst into laughter.
"Chal jaa yahan se! Mujhe pagal mat bana. Anaya ka kaam... aur tu karega? Impossible!"
Anay sighed.
"Nahi bhai... woh hua na ki..."
He hesitated for a moment before explaining everything that had happened.
Well...
He carefully skipped the slap incident and, of course, the revenge plan.
After listening to the whole story, the smile on Riyan's face disappeared.
He looked at his younger brother seriously.
"Tune bahut galat kiya, Anay. Tu abhi Anaya ko nahi jaanta... par main jaanta hoon."
He paused before continuing.
"Usse apni padhai se kitna pyaar hai, tujhe andaza bhi nahi hai. Uske liye uski notebooks sirf notebooks nahi hain... uski mehnat hain."
His words made Anay realize his mistake once again.
He lowered his head.
"Haan bhai... mujhe pata hai. Mujhe apni galti ka ehsaas ho gaya hai. Isliye toh uska saara kaam complete kar raha hoon."
He looked at Riyan with puppy eyes.
"Please help kar do na... dekho kitni raat ho gayi hai."
Riyan sighed before smiling helplessly.
He could never refuse his younger brother for long.
"Achha chal... bata kya karna hai?"
Anay immediately became excited.
"Main saara work kar lunga... bas aap headings aur decoration kar do. Aapko toh pata hi hai na woh apni copy kitni achhe se maintain karti hai."
He made a cute face.
"Ye sab creative kaam mujhse nahi hoga... please."
Riyan chuckled.
"Theek hai."
He pulled a chair beside Anay and started helping him.
For the next thirty minutes...
The room remained completely silent except for the sound of turning notebook pages and moving pens.
Finally, after finishing all the headings and decorations, Riyan stretched his arms.
"Chal... mera kaam toh ho gaya. Ab teri baari hai."
He got up from the chair.
Then he looked at Anay again.
"Waise aur help chahiye?"
Anay shook his head with a smile.
"Nahi bhai. Main kar lunga. Aap jao... waise bhi 12:30 baj gaye hain."
Riyan nodded.
Before leaving the room, he turned back and said,
"Theek hai. Par jaldi sona. Bahut late tak mat jagna. Kal school bhi jaana hai."
There was concern in his voice.
Anay smiled softly.
And then riyan turned go from anay room
"Sorry bhai... par ye kaam aaj hi complete karna hai."
He murumed to himself
As the door closed...
Anay looked at Anaya's notebook again.
He had always hated studying.
Sitting at one place for hours felt like torture to him.
But today...
He was patiently writing page after page.
Not because he liked studying.
But because somewhere deep inside...
He genuinely wanted to make up for his mistake.
Time slowly passed.
One page became two.
Two became five.
Five became ten.
Before he even realized it...
The clock struck 2:30 a.m.
Anay placed his pen on the table and leaned back in his chair.
A tired smile appeared on his face.
"Hogaya... finally!"
He stretched his aching arms.
"Chalo... ab so jaata hoon."
His eyes fell on Anaya's neatly completed notebook.
A small smile escaped his lips.
"Waise... Miss Rulebook kitni khush ho jayegi na..."
The thought itself made him smile.
He was completely exhausted.
It was the first time in his life that he had sat for more than two hours doing nothing but studying.
His body gave up before he could even stand.
Resting his head on the study table...
He closed his eyes for just a moment.
Within two minutes...
He had fallen fast asleep, still sitting on the chair, with Anaya's notebook safely lying beside him.
